G. Eric Plum, PhD, President and Chief Executive Officer of IBET, Inc., Lecturer/ Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, has extensive experience in biophysical chemistry and the design and construction of laboratory instrumentation, as well as the software needed to collect and analyze the forthcoming data. He holds 4 US Patents and has published over 30 research papers.
IBET Inc.'s corporate focus has been on research and development of instrumentation for the biochemical, biophysical, and biomedical sciences. IBET Inc. has developed analytical instruments designed to provide new and unique information about the thermodynamic properties of biologically important macromolecules and their interactions with each other and with small molecule effectors. These instruments address a deficiency in high-throughput thermodynamic methods resulting from the explosive growth in knowledge of DNA and protein sequence information.
In addition to the Temperature Profile Spectroscopy instrument designed for rapid, temperature-dependent UV/Vis spectroscopy of biomacromolecules, in partnership with Artann Laboratories, IBET, Inc. has developed a Temperature-Scanning Ultrasonic Analyzer (T-SUSAN) for measurement of sound velocity in liquids employing a newly invented flow-through cylindrical standing wave ultrasonic sensor. The small volume (~tens of ml) and unique flow-through design of the ultrasonic measuring cell allow for rapid, high-precision measurements of molecular order-disorder processes of biochemical and/or pharmaceutical importance.

Armen Sarvazyan, PhD, DSc, Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Artann, an Adjunct Professor at the Surgery Department of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and Honorary Foreign Professor of Physics Faculty of Moscow State University, Russia. Armen Sarvazyan has extensive expertise in biophysics, acoustics, biomechanics, biomedical engineering, and in the design, construction and clinical testing of medical instrumentation. He holds over 90 international patents and inventor's certificates on ultrasonic and biomechanical methods and devices, has edited 6 books and published over 200 research papers. The ideas developed and patented by Armen Sarvazyan and his coworkers have spun off into a number of new business ventures in the field of medical devices.
